LAKE OF BANYOLES
Boating on the Lake:
There is a large boat that does cruises round the lake and also small rowing boats are available for hire.
Watersports:
Non motorised watersports are practicad on the lake based at the Club Natació Banyoles.
Fishing:
Fishing is permitted in lake Banyoles in the authorised zones where you can catch carp and black bass
Bathing in Lake Banyoles
Bathing is permitted at Banys Vells, Club Natació Banyoles and Caseta de Fusta.
Picnic:
This may be done in the lakeside park called Parque de la Draga. Yes, legend has it that a Dragon used to live in the lake.
Banyoles Tourist Train: El Tren Pinxo de Banyoles is a small train that runs round all the tourist attractions in the town.
BEACHES
The closest beaches are:
·Sant Martí d’Empúries (30 min.)
·L’ Escala (35 min.)
·L’ Estartit (40 min.) An important scuba diving resort.
GOLF
The closest golf courses are Golf Girona (15 min) and Torremirona (30 min).
ADVENTURE SPORTS
These are offered at Fang Aventura which is nearby in San Miquel de Campmajor (15 min).
CYCLING & HIKING
The area around Casa Nova de Traver offers many bicycle routes with stunning scenery, which of course can also be walked! Bike hire is available in Banyoles.
PARAGLIDING
At the aireodrome in Empuriabrava (48 min).
